Endless ski runs
Les Sybelles is the sixth largest ski region in France, with six ski resorts combined:
- Saint-Sorlin-d’Arves
- Le Corbier
- La Toussuire
- Les Bottières
- Saint-Jean-d’Arves
- Saint-Colomban-des-Villards
- Les Sybelles offers 62 green, 96 blue, 36 red and 9 black pistes for a total of 393 kilometres of ski runs. I believe there is something for everyone, whether you are a beginner or an experienced skier.
The ski resort is located at an altitude of between 1,550 and 2,620 metres, which ensures excellent snow conditions throughout the season. Even though we visited Les Sybelles- Le Corbier at ski opening time, when more than half of the slopes were not yet open, we were impressed by the variety and breadth of the slope choice.
And the views along the slopes are simply breathtaking. Spectacular panoramas of the mighty Alps, including Mont Blanc. One never gets tired of these views.

Accommodation
There are a variety of accommodation options to suit different budgets and preferences. We opted for Residence Club MMV L’Etoile des Sybelles, which offers not only comfortable and well-equipped rooms but also a range of additional benefits. Since it was built just a few years ago, the property feels practically new and is conveniently located right below the ski slopes, offering ski-in and ski-out possibilities. While it may be slightly more expensive than other nearby accommodations, the difference in quality (as many others are from the 60s and not in great shape) is definitely worth the extra cost.
The accommodation includes a fully equipped kitchen, beautiful views of the ski slopes and indoor and outdoor swimming pools. There is also a Finnish and Turkish sauna for complete relaxation after skiing. The friendly and helpful staff also organise a wide range of activities off the slopes, such as karaoke, board games, ping pong tournaments, zumba, aqua exercise… to liven up our evenings.
Prices
Accommodation price: 7 nights in an apartment for 6 people including skipass for 6 days for 4 people was 1614€ + tourist tax for 4 people 77€.
The rest of your expenses will depend on factors like where you’re coming from, the type of transport you choose, and your food preferences. If you plan to cook for yourself or dine out, whether you buy groceries locally or bring them with you will also affect your costs.
If your route takes you through Italy, be prepared for numerous tolls on the highways, especially from Torino onwards. You’ll encounter toll stations every few kilometers, with small fees of around 1-2€. Additionally, your journey will likely include the Frejus tunnel, which costs 55€ for a one-way pass or 72€ for a return pass (valid for 7 days).

Conclusion
Is skiing a holiday or a trip? For me, it’s both, because this week was spent with the people I love. It was a week filled with joy, laughter, and a true sense of freedom.
While Puy St. Vincent had been my favorite ski resort up until then, my visit to Les Sybelles changed that. I have to admit, Les Sybelles truly charmed me. The unforgettable views of the towering mountains, including the majestic Mont Blanc, left me stopping multiple times just to take it all in and enjoy the sunshine. A special mention goes to the exceptional staff who kept the slopes in top condition. Despite the lack of snow, they ensured we had groomed, safe trails to ski on every day.
I highly recommend Les Sybelles, especially for families, as it offers wide, safe pistes that are perfect for beginners. At the same time, those looking for more challenging runs and a chance to test their skills will find plenty of excitement here too.
Les Sybelles wasn’t just about skiing—it was a perfect week on the snow, and one that I would love to experience again.
